At Funguka App, we respect your privacy and are committed to providing you with control over your personal data. This Data Deletion Policy outlines how you can request the deletion of your account and associated data.

1. Account Deletion Process

If you wish to delete your account and associated data, you have two options:

A. In-App Account Deletion

You can delete your account directly within our app by following these steps:

  1. Open the Funguka App. Click on Akaunti Yangu to view your account page.
  2. Click the visit this page link under the Delete Account section
  3. In the resultant page, click on the link at the bottom of the page to delete your account. Confirm by approving the popup message.

B. Web-Based Deletion Request

If you prefer to request deletion via the web, visit our Account Deletion Request page: https://sandbox.kazikasi.digital/funguka/deletion-request/

  1. Enter your registered email or username.
  2. Submit a deletion request.
  3. You will receive a confirmation email. Click the link to verify your request.
  4. Your account and associated data will be permanently deleted within 3 days.

2. What Happens When You Delete Your Account?

  • All personal data, including profile information, usage history, and stored preferences, will be permanently removed from our servers.
  • Any content you have shared publicly (e.g., comments or posts) may remain visible to others but will no longer be linked to your identity.
  • Account deletion is irreversible. Once deleted, we cannot recover your account or data.

3. Retention of Certain Data

In some cases, we may retain certain data for legal, security, or operational reasons, including:

  • Compliance with regulatory or legal obligations.
  • Fraud prevention, security monitoring, or resolving disputes.
  • Aggregated or anonymized data that does not identify you.
